“ATAYA” Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan
Ataya (means ‘giving’ in Arabic) is a charity exhibition organised by Emirates Red Crescent under the patronage and vision of HH Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
The annual Ataya Exhibition – since inception a short 5 years back – has quickly become a landmark in Abu Dhabi’s cultural calendar, where a wide range of fresh and distinct fashion wear, jewellery, home accessories and furniture is exhibited and sold. The exhibits are by talented designers and artists from the UAE and the region, with each being picked individually by the Higher Committee of the Exhibition.
General objectives of Ataya Exhibition
•To support charitable establishments with funds raised from the Exhibition.
•To focus on building awareness of community service among Emiratis, particularly the younger generation.
•To raise awareness – and importance – of the need to help less fortunate people in society.
•To support similar projects/businesses at the local, regional and international level.
•To help instill the value of charity in the community.
